Join with Christian business owners, CEOs & Leaders who want their faith to impact their work.

Friday, Feb. 23, 8am - 3pm

at New River Community Church of God

God has a purpose for us on this earth. That calling is to be on mission for God where He has placed us. And since many people spend the majority of their waking hours on the job, we have to stop compartmentalizing life into “spiritual activities” and “work activities.” How are we living examples of the gospel while we work?

You’re invited to the 2017 Work as Worship Retreat, where eleven influential business leaders and pastors will discuss what it looks like to connect faith and work. Taking place as a 1–Day Local Church Retreat on February 23, 2018, the live event in Dallas will be web-streamed to over 2,000 churches around the world, including NRCC!

Join Patrick Lencioni (Author, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team), Joel Manby (CEO, SeaWorld), Phil Vischer (Creator, VeggieTales and Jellyfish Labs), Wendy Davidson (President, US Specialty Channels Kellogg Company), Matt Chandler (Lead Pastor, The Village Church), and others in a day filled with real-life stories, biblical teaching, and practical wisdom that will equip believers in the marketplace to see their work as an opportunity to care for their families, fulfill their calling, and bring glory to God.

Check out the video below to learn more.

Cost is only $25!

Pioneer Club
Wednesdays 7-8pm

Exciting new experiences await children who attend Pioneer Clubs. Our Biblical lessons for kids help them learn about God, the Bible and themselves as they explore fun activities and make new friends. Four different age groups from age 3 to grade 5 including Skippers, Scooters, Trailblazers and Pathfinders. The kids earn badges for the various activities and units they complete. We start in the Sanctuary for opening program at 7pm and then go to our classes. Groups for Men and another for Women meet during the same time. Bring the kids and enjoy!

YOU CAN SPONSOR CHILDREN

DIRECTLY FROM OUR WEB SIGHT

Now, you can go to the Children of Promise web page to sponsor a child. Tell your church and friends about this new opportunity.

We are excited about this easy option to sponsor children. As time goes by, we will offer more children who can be sponsored.

If you go to the web page and have any questions or want to sponsor a child with options not offered (from a different country, a certain age, etc.) simply call us and talk with us.

PRESS ON Campaign Off and Running!

The race isn't won by those who start the race; it's won by those who finish the race. Paul wrote in Philippians 3:13-14:

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

PRESS ON is the theme of our three-year Stewardship Campaign. Together we will persevere in our efforts to reach more people for Christ. We are raising funds to provide property and facilities for room for NRCC to grow. How will God use you to help the ministry of NRCC as we PRESS ON?

What is Apologetics?

The word apologetics comes from the Greek word apologia found in 1 Peter 3:15, "Always be prepared to give an answer [defense –apologia] to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have." Apologia is a legal term that simply means “defense.” Apologetics is a branch of Christian theology that is concerned with making a defense, or case, for the truth claims of the Christian Faith. The purpose of Apologetics is not to apologize for God but to present reasonable explanations for believing Christianity is true.

Choose Life tags are available NOW in NC!

As you may have heard, even though there was a big splash with the announcement that the 4th District Federal Court had reversed its decision about the legality of the NC Choose Life license plate, there have still been more steps required before manufacturing could begin.

The license plates are available for order through the NCDMV. Cost is $25 a year with $15 of that going to pregnancy care centers all around NC. This is a subtle but important message to our fellow citizens of how important human life is to Our Lord. Click the link below to apply.
